Educators value the success of all students. Educators care for students and act in their best interests.

During my 491 practicum, I began utilizing “Brain Breaks” to ensure all students could be successful. This was especially important during transitions, when our brains are at the point of fatigue. Even as an adult I have this sensation some days, and can only imagine that children must feel it ten-fold! Brain breaks turned out to be a great equalizer because of how accessible they are! I saw learners who were normally on the shy or reserved side come out fully for these activities. The end result was a more cohesive class full of learners ready to put their best foot forward!

For more information, this article from Edutopia, covers some of the research behind Brain Breaks and espouses their many benefits: focus, increased productivity and stress reduction.
