I would like to acknowledge that I was raised and educated on Coast Salish territory. Currently, I am lucky enough to live, learn and play on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh.
I never thought I would become a teacher. How things change! I graduated from Royal Roads University with a BA in Communications, then worked in non-profit for the subsequent three years. Itching for a big challenge, I sold all of my possessions and moved to Santiago, the capital of Chile. Here, I learned Spanish while teaching English in private schools and businesses. After falling in love with the country, I moved further south, to Patagonia, in order to work at a rural public school. This experience made me realize how rewarding education could be as a career. I have a passion for all things creative; think guitar, singing, painting, writing and drama!
